Cursus Offshore Wind Basics

In collaboration, DOB-Academy, in partnership with IRO - The Association of Dutch Suppliers in the Offshore Energy Industry - and NWEA, organizes the Offshore Wind Basics course. This is a comprehensive one-day foundational training designed to provide new colleagues with essential knowledge and integrate it into your onboarding program.

Learning objectives:

• In one day, acquire a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles of the offshore wind industry.
• Comprehend the rapid growth and development of the offshore wind energy industry.
• Gain knowledge about the impact of both policies and societal needs on the development of offshore wind energy.
• Understand how wind is converted into electricity, how this electricity is transported to consumers, and how to build a business case for it.
• Gain insight into the lifecycle of a typical wind farm, including design, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance.
