On September 21, 2024, it is Open Energy Day, the day on which developers of (wind) energy projects open their doors to the public. In the run-up to this, NedZero, in collaboration with ENERCON, made a photo report from a wind turbine. In the lead roles: Fabian and Marcel, two mechanics from ENERCON. Watch the video that we made together and a selection of the images. Edwin van Aalten made the images.
"There is no better way to tell our story than by showing a day in the life of our engineers Fabian and Marcel. The success of ENERCON starts with the people who keep our turbines running day and night."
“We always start with coffee. We have everything with us: a Senseo coffee machine, soup and of course our garden chairs. Some colleagues even have an airfryer on board.”
"A work van with everything you need. This is where it starts and this is where it ends. The van is our workshop, our office and our canteen."
"The sun is shining. The service bus is ready. And the wind turbine is ready for the major maintenance."
"We take the time for the right preparation. Everything to be able to work safely upstairs."
"Our life jacket goes up with us. This way, in case of emergency, we can bring ourselves or our colleague to safety."
“Safety is everything.”
"On the way to lonely heights."
"We register with the customer. So that they know that we are working on their wind turbine today."
"On the way to the top."
“The 'bolting' of the rotating parts into the turbine, an important moment in our work.”
“The work is very versatile, both electrical and mechanical. From replacing communication equipment, vacuuming wear dust, lubricating bearings, to checking the elevator equipment.”
"High above the meadows, with a view that many a worker would wish for, we work to keep these beautiful machines in top condition."
“This work is freedom. Working in the most beautiful locations. And often in the middle of nature.”Bekijk al het nieuws
